With the global expertise gained from serving the environment for more than 170 years.The OpportunityWe currently have a vacancy for a Networks Operators based in Wanaka, who will be responsible for operating and maintaining water, wastewater and stormwater reticulation networks and ensure service delivery demonstrates Veolia's commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and customer service while meeting performance and key performance indicators and applying health and safety procedures.

Appropriately respond to these in a timely manner, assessing and coordinating remedial action if required.Accurately log all reports and jobs, completing the necessary paperwork and filing where requiredParticipate in the development and implementation of Capital Works improvement programsProvide network operations support to the Networks Supervisor and Veolia team undertaking minor repairs, assisting with major repairs and replacing reticulated pipelines.Positively contribute to the district based operations teams by fostering effective working relationships with field, engineering and management staff, client representatives, customers and suppliers.Participation of on-call roster Undertake such general duties as required for the effective provision of services to the client and customers.What you\'ll need to be successfulAn effective communicator who can interact and relate to staff at all levels of the organisation, and the client / customers.Willing to establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues for a harmonious team environmentA self-starter who can work with a high degree of autonomyPlanning and organisational ability and proven ability to maintain accurate work recordsHigh degree of personal integrity with a good work ethicConfidence in one\'s own judgement and capabilityCan maintain a stable performance level during periods of pressure and able to quickly adapt to changing circumstancesGood literacy and numeracy skillsWilling to complete further training as requiredComputer literateCurrent full driver\'s licence (preferably with Class 2)Ideally have pipe welding, electrofusion, plumbing trade, drain layer or construction trade background / experienceAbility and willingness to work out of hours when requiredBasic Understanding of Health and Safety legislation.PreferredWheels, Tracks & Rollers endorsementsTraffic ManagementWorking HeightsConfined SpaceNational Certificate in Water ReticulationConnexis Level 4 Water Treatment CertificateWhy Veolia?
