TuaropakiTrust () is an Ahu Whenua Trust under the auspices of TeTure Whenua Maori.
There are more than 2,700 Owners, a mix of individuals, Whanau Trusts and Kaitiaki Trusts, all descended from the original Owners.
The Trust is a kaitiaki for ancestral taonga and manages complex business interests in the food and energy sectors, with assets valued at approximately $1 billion.

Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Chief Corporate, People and Risk Officer provides strategic leadership, governance alignment and operational oversight across delivery of health and safety, environmental management, HR, and corporate services — in alignment with shareholder expectations and the Trust's strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include :
Leading People & Culture strategy to foster a high-performance, values-driven workforce
Championing health, safety, environmental sustainability, and wellbeing across operations
Overseeing the Trust's risk management framework and reporting to governance
Delivering efficient and effective corporate services
Providing leadership and mentoring across the portfolio
Contributing to ELT decision-making and strategy execution
Qualifications and Experience
A relevant tertiary qualification in human resources, business management, organisational development, risk management, or a related discipline
Proven executive or senior management experience leading People, Safety, Environment, Risk, and / or Corporate Services portfolios
Strong business acumen and a track record of delivering strategies aligned to organisational priorities
Demonstrated ability to identify and manage organisational risk, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and sustain productive relationships
Experience navigating complex issues and achieving shared goals across diverse stakeholder groups
Ability to operate within a complex stakeholder environment
A high level of competency operating from the boardroom to frontline operations across a diverse portfolio of organisations representing the shareholder
Previous exposure to te ao Maori is desirable.
