Overview

Contractor - Senior Civil Structural Engineer in New Plymouth, New Zealand. Contract basis with a flexible, as-needed schedule across a variety of projects.

What you’ll do

  • Provide technical leadership to the engineering and design team.
  • Help drive a culture of doing it right first time and delivering practical engineering solutions.
  • Hands-on design opportunities and the chance to utilize your business development and mentorship skills.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines on a variety of projects.

What you’ll have

  • Proven track record leading a Civil Structural engineering team.
  • Confidence to lead a diverse range of projects, ensuring the end-to-end process is smooth and successful.
  • Brownfield experience is essential.
  • New Zealand working experience within the industry.
  • Experience with software such as Staad, Navisworks or similar design packages.
  • Seismic design of steel structures and concrete foundations experience.
  • Excellent communication and time management.

    • Advantages

  • New Zealand CPEng registration and registered with the Auckland City Council.
  • Drainage design experience.
  • Practice Note 19 experience.
