Agricultural Service Technician

The Southland Farm Machinery team are looking for a workshop based agricultural service technician to join their locally owned and operated John Deere dealership in Invercargill.The role offers a variety of mechanical work on some of the world's greatest brands, including John Deere, Krone and Giltrap, and the opportunity to work with the latest John Deere diagnostic tools on small to large horsepower tractors, and farm equipment.What we're looking for : Mechanical experience in agriculture or a similar industry, or working towards a qualificationDiagnosing / fault-finding skillsTidy and organised work habitsA self-starter, able to work autonomouslyPC literate and comfortable using software systemsThe right attitude, including taking ownership of your work and being willing to learn, awareness of safety, and being a great team memberMaintaining good relationships with customers and workmates alikeWhat's in it for you : Great products to work with such as John Deere, Krone and Giltrap, plus the latest in agricultural technologyCompetitive hourly rate with time and a half paid for any overtime after 8 hours (the potential to earn is up to you!)On-the-job and external training with ongoing career developmentCompany buying privileges, and staff accountThe chance to be part of a great teamSouthland Farm Machinery Ltd is a proud, family-owned Southland business.
