In this role, you will be responsible for the designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting state-of-the-art automation systems.

Key Responsibilities
Commissioning : Configure and commission BMS, lighting and energy management systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency.
System Maintenance : Perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure systems are operating at peak performance.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve issues with control systems, using advanced diagnostic tools and methods.
System Integration : Integrate various building automation systems, to ensure seamless operation and efficiency.
Client Liaison : Provide technical support and advice to clients, developing and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and maintain ongoing relationships.
Documentation : Compile accurate and up-to-date records of project manuals, service maintenance and repairs performed.
Key Requirements
Experience : Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with HVAC, lighting and energy systems, particularly in controls, automation, and building management systems (BMS).
Electrical Registration : Current New Zealand electrical registration (Electrical Service Technician or higher).
Technical Skills : Strong understanding of HVAC, lighting control systems, and electrical wiring.
Familiarity with control software and building automation protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, etc.) is advantageous.
Problem Solving : Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with clients and team members effectively.
Driver's License : Current and valid full New Zealand drivers license with no conditions.
Familiarity and understanding of HVAC, lighting and energy management solutions.
Experience with Siemens XWorks or ABT.
Experience with Tridium Niagara.
Familiar with Loytec system tools (LVIS & LINX Configurators).
Willingness to learn new systems and trends within the industry (IoT, AI, etc).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
