$40-$50 Per hour experience dependentA stable and rewarding career in a vital industryOpportunities for training and career developmentWhat You'll Be Doing : As a key member of the team, you'll be hands-on with diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of marine diesel engines and propulsion systems.

Your work will ensure clients' vessels stay at peak efficiency—whether that's servicing a pleasure craft or refitting a commercial powerhouse.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect, maintain, and overhaul diesel engines and auxiliary marine systemsTroubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic faults using diagnostic toolsPerform alignments, installations, and adjustments of propulsion and steering systemsDocument all work performed clearly and accuratelyEnsure compliance with maritime safety, environmental, and operational standardsLiaise with clients and suppliers to maintain service quality and timelinesContribute to a strong safety culture and team collaborationWho You Are : Certified Diesel Mechanic, Marine Engineer, or equivalent trade qualificationMinimum 3 years of hands-on marine engine or heavy diesel experienceComfortable working with inboard / outboard systems, hydraulics, and cooling systemsExcellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detailStrong communication skills with a professional client-facing attitudeFull NZ driver's licenseAdaptable and proactive, whether dockside or at seaOur client offers : Competitive pay with overtimeAccess to advanced tooling and premium engine technologiesProfessional development and certification supportA culture that values initiative, technical mastery, and mutual respectVariety in work—from high-performance yachts to commercial marine fleetsReady to take your skills to the next level?
