Farm Tour Guide (Rural Demonstrator) – RealNZ
Location : Queenstown, Walter Peak
Job Type : Fixed Term - Full Time
About the role
Our team at Walter Peak is looking for a new team member who is excited about getting our guests up close and personal to a real-life rural experience. If you have experience hosting as a Tour Guide, or a background in livestock farming and want to dip your toe into the tourism industry, this could be the job for you.
Typical day
A typical day will see you combining your passion for tourism & agriculture with your customer service skills and getting hands on with the rural side of Walter Peak. You’ll host visitors on our popular farm tour product, and we’ll provide full training so that you can demonstrate farm practices such as sheep shearing and dog handling to our groups of guests.
When you’re not hosting visitors, you’ll be helping the rural team to ensure immaculate presentation of the grounds / farm and ensuring our animals stay at optimum health. We have 150ha of land that looks out over Lake Whakatipu where we are focused on planting native trees and allowing our guests to learn more about our commitment to conservation.
