As a Principal Planner, you will provide technical leadership to our Central North Island planning team and play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality planning services.Key areas of responsibility include : Resource Consent Acquisition and Due DiligenceResource Consent processing for local authoritiesDesignations and Notice of RequirementsDistrict Plan Review and Policy ServicesPlanning input into projects led by other parts of the TPG business (e.g. property, development, urban regeneration).
You will play a key role supporting the Planning Manager by drawing on your own professional network to help grow our client base in the region.
You will also take on a day-to-day technical mentoring role with the regional planning team, helping to guide and develop our junior team members.About youWe would love to hear from you if you have experience providing technical planning expertise and leadership, and have the following skills and experience, or the potential to develop in these areas : Eight years or more regulatory RMA planning experience, ideally gained in government or a private consultancyA passion for delivering astute and practical planning adviceAbility to combine your technical planning expertise with a keen eye for business development opportunitiesStrong relationship management skills with a proven track record of forging strong relationships with colleagues and clientsAn understanding of the local planning framework in the Central North Island region would be an advantage.Working at TPGWe are proud of the positive culture and supportive work environment we have built at TPG.
