About the Role
Right now, we are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist tojoin the Allied Health team at Timaru hospital. This team includes OccupationalTherapy, Dietetics, Orthotics Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Radiology, Speech andLanguage Therapy, Social Work, Orthotics, Clinical Psychology andAudiology.
About the Service
This role is supported by the clinical leader for Occupational Therapyand works with a supportive multi-disciplinary team to provide OccupationalTherapy assessments and a variety of interventions in order to promote patientindependence. This is a generalist role that works across the service.The ideal candidatewill have :
A Bachelor of Health Science
A Current Practising Certificate
Excellent Interpersonal / Communication Skills (including assertiveness, diplomacy, and sensitivity)
Enable NZ Assessor AccreditationBoth newgraduates and experienced OTs are welcome to apply.
About you
The person in thisrole will provide appropriate and evidence-basedassessment and interventions for adults and children in the inpatient medicalsetting, working across all wards. If you strive to achieve the maximum potentialfor your patients, then this role is for you.As a registered Occupational Therapist the ideal candidate will have;
A current New Zealand Practicing Certificate
Be able to plan and work autonomously.
Be able to work as part of the Occupational Therapy team, and multidisciplinary setting of a ward environment.
