We are seeking a dedicated, part-time School Counsellor (3 days / week) to join our Kerehana whānau and Wellbeing Team for 2026. This is a permanent position focused on providing culturally responsive support to our ākonga (students), especially our significant Māori and Pasifika cohorts.

About the Role : Te Tūranga

You will enhance the well-being of emerging adolescents through direct support and collaborative initiatives.

You will :

• Provide individual and group counselling for ākonga with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
• Collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team, including kaiako (teachers) and external providers.
• Promote a school-wide culture of well-being, aligning with our core values of Whakaute (respect), Rangatiratanga (responsibility), and Whakaanga (engagement) .
• Support the Taumata system to enhance social, cultural, and academic excellence in every student.
• Engage creatively, designing and facilitating targeted group programmes.

We need someone with a genuine passion for intermediate-aged students and commitment to our unique, multicultural environment.
