Marketing Manager - Brand & Digital - Tourism
Our client is a tourism company that operates in NZ and Australia, providing a variety of marine experiences including sailing, whale watching, and day cruises, along with transport services. The company focuses on delivering unique, award-winning, and sustainable tourism experiences for both local and international customers.
They’re a highly successful, long-established privately owned company with a strong focus on growth and it’s an exciting time to be joining the business. This is a newly scoped role working across the company’s products and services, helping to grow sales of existing and future products and services.
You’d be joining a company with a fantastic reputation, they’re a high-profile marine tourism brand and a company where the owners are actively involved in the business. There’s an entrepreneurial spirit and an openness to try new things and to continue to look for ways to improve and grow. You’ll work closely with the senior leadership team and across the different departments including the sales team in a collaborative and integrated way. This role is both strategic and hands‑on; you’ll be developing marketing plans as well as executing them and will have the support of one direct report.
We’re looking for a self‑starter with a passion for marketing, who’ll enjoy learning about the varied B2B and B2C products and services and who’ll look for ways to improve marketing outcomes and bring fresh ideas to the table. You’ll have a proven track record working with sales teams and a strong understanding of digital marketing and an interest in developing knowledge in new trends / technology to support the business.
There’s a team of 240 people across the wider business and you’d be working in a team of 14 at the head office. It’s an environment where everyone rolls their sleeves up, and being team focused with strong communication skills and excellent stakeholder management skills is essential. We're looking for someone with a positive and can‑do approach and who's down‑to‑earth - you’ll be working in a professional rather than corporate environment.
