The Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (HASS) cluster at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) invites applications for a tenure‑track, open‑rank faculty position in Human‑Centred Design / Human‑Computer Interaction (Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level).
We are seeking a creative and critical design researcher who works at the interface where computing technologies meet humans. The ideal candidate should be familiar with humanities and / or social science approaches to understanding humans, and computational methodologies for building digital devices, applications, systems, and / or products. Backgrounds in relatively established areas such as Human‑Computer Interaction or Human‑Centred Design are key indicators of suitability for the position, but we also encourage candidates who pioneer new interdisciplinary syntheses to apply. Engagement with artificial intelligence is a plus.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate that their research speaks to both social science and engineering audiences. They should have an excellent record of effective teaching at university level. We especially seek creative scholars with the potential to develop new directions in interdisciplinary teaching and who are interested in collaborating with scientists and technologists. Experience or interest in fostering collaborations with industry or the public sector will also be considered an advantage.
