We are looking for a
seasoned Lead Content Writer
to own and deliver high-impact storytelling across supporter and media channels.
This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on writing excellence, producing emotionally resonant copy that strengthens supporter engagement and drives fundraising impact.
As the organisation's
leading capability in copywriting
, you'll guide others, embed AI-powered tools, and streamline processes to deliver content that is fast, consistent, and scalable.
This fixed-term role offers the opportunity to lead change and grow capability across teams.
Key Responsibilities
Writing and editing compelling content across campaigns and supporter journeys.
Coaching internal teams to uplift written communication capability.
Overseeing content quality, voice, tone, and consistency across audience type and channels.
Embedding AI-powered tools into content production for efficiency and scale.
Managing content systems, tagging, and libraries to support reuse and automation.
Partnering with agencies and teams to deliver on-brand, engaging content.

About you
3+ years of proven writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling, on-brand content that informs, inspires, and motivates action in the fundraising context.
Tertiary qualification in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field.
Proven experience in content strategy and copywriting across multiple channels.
Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to brand voice and tone.
Ability to interpret briefs and translate complex ideas into engaging content.
Proficiency with AI-enhanced writing tools, CMS, or content tagging systems.
Understanding of fundraising or purpose-led communications (desirable).
Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.

Based in Penrose, Auckland
Full-time, Fixed Term position.
37.5hrs per week.
