Occupational Therapist – Low Vision
Permanent Part time 0.5FTE (20 hours per week). Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 08 : 00–16 : 30. Based at Burwood Campus.

About the Role
An opportunity now exists for an Occupational Therapist to work within the Outpatient services at Burwood Hospital. In this role, you will work with referred patients who have a diagnosis of low vision, to enable optimum safety and function in the community.
You’ll work with clients from diverse social and cultural backgrounds and need to bring your holistic skills, enthusiasm and passion to achieve the best outcome for your patients.
Positioned in our outpatient service at Burwood Hospital, this role engages with patients to assess and optimise their function in the community who have Low vision. This role within the Low Vision clinic involves assessment in the clinic setting, prescribing technology and strategies for maintaining independence. This role involves assessing clients in their own home.
You will be responsible for :
Burwood Hospital offers the opportunity to be part of both the Low Vision team and the wider Occupational Therapy Department and to access professional development through in-service training and clinical supervision.
