This is a diverse and rewarding role where you’ll coordinate and deliver a range of consumer-facing programmes and resources that support people across their heart health journey. From national campaigns and printed resources to helpline services and personal storytelling, you’ll help ensure New Zealanders receive the support, information, and connection they need.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support the delivery of programmes like Heart Line and the Facebook Support Group, working with frontline staff, managing key resources, and upholding quality standards
  • Lead the Journey Stories programme, working with internal teams to collect and share powerful real-life experiences from people living with heart conditions
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency in messaging, resource development, and campaign delivery
  • Monitor programme performance, contribute to reporting, and support continuous improvement across consumer services

What you’ll bring to the role

  • A tertiary qualification in public health, health promotion, communications, or a related field
  • Experience working in the health or social services sector (not-for-profit experience a bonus)
  • Strong coordination and project delivery skills

  • Solid understanding of digital tools like websites, social media, and online platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify complex information
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and online collaboration tools
  • A natural ability to build relationships with a range of people
  • Cultural awareness, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping people affected by heart disease
  • What you’ll get in return

  • A meaningful role
  • A supportive and inclusive team
  • Competitive salary + flexible work options
  • Extra paid day off each year for Heart Foundation Day
  • Five weeks’ annual leave (pro-rata) after two years
  • Paid sick leave from day one
  • Ongoing learning and training in areas like heart health, hauora, and cultural awareness
  • Ready to make an impact? Apply today and be part of our mission to stop New Zealanders dying prematurely from heart disease.
