Fixed-term Registered Nurse - Community Day ProgrammesFixed-term, part-time role (0.7 FTE) available until January

  • Salary band $81,683 - $106,739 p.a pro-rata and KiwiSaverHealth New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the roleCommunity Programmes is a mental health service based at Dunedin Hospital providing recovery focused group programmes for adults with a wide range of moderate to severe mental health issues, living within the community.About the Team / Service / LocationHealth New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities.

We believe that our dedicated and passionate staff are a significant driving force behind the achievement of these standards, and we need more like-minded people to help us continue providing for our community.About youAs a Registered Nurse with recent experience working in mental health, you will be able to put your knowledge and skills to good use assisting the team to provide emergency mental health assessments.You must : be registered with the New Zealand Nursing Councilhold a current Annual Practicing Certificate which allows you to work in mental healthbe eligible to live and work in New Zealand.Our ideal candidate will : maintain a high standard of competence, practice and performanceenjoy the challenge of working with patients in this settinghave a dynamic and innovative team-oriented drivehave a wish to join a service that is committed to high standards of practicewant to work in an environment that supports on-going learning and professional developmenthave at least two plus years experience in a mental health setting (acute inpatient or community).
