2 positions on offer- 1 full time and 1 part time

About the Role

We are seeking 2 Activities Coordinators to work at Oakridge Villas.

Metlifecare Oakridge Villas offers premium accommodation to our residents.

The living spaces are designed to provide peace of mind with customised clinical care and support on-site.

You will be a part of the awesome team supporting our residents to live their best lives.

You will be supporting our residents with their planned activities to maintain active lives and support their wellbeing.

Reporting to the Nurse manager, you will be responsible for planning and implementing an innovative activities program.

Role 1 - 56 hours / 7 daysa fortnight

Role 2 - 64 hours / 8 days a fortnight

Pay rate will range from $

  • to $
  • depending on your qualification.

Both roles will include working one day of the weekend

You will be :

Planning and implementing an innovative activities program

Liaising with families and staff to participate in leisure activities

Assisting our residents to participate in organized activities

Establishing and maintaining a therapeutic environment

Ensuring the health and safety of our residents

About you

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative, outgoing and can think outside the box.

You will have a genuine love for the elderly and want to make a difference.

Ideally you will have experience as an Activities Coordinator or a Diversional Therapist.

however, this role would suit an experienced Caregiver looking to broaden their skill set with a passion for ensuring our residents are enjoying a therapeutic environment and experiencing the activities on offer at our Care Suites.

Candidates must have the following :

Current Full Drivers License preferred

Current First Aid Certificate preferred but not essential

Experience with working with groups of older people

Diversional Therapy or anequivalent Level 4 qualification
