Cloud Network Engineer

The Cloud Network Engineer responsible for designing, deploying and maintaining fit for purpose networking across all of Fisher and Paykel’s Cloud environments and on‑premises data centers. This role exists to bridge the gap between isolated cloud applications; creating consistency, reusability and efficiency. The Cloud Network Engineer will work closely with the various application development, security and project teams.

The Role

• Design and implement cloud‑native network architectures in AWS and Azure to ensure reliability, scalability and cost efficiency.
• Integrate cloud and on‑premises network environments to improve efficiency and reduce complexity.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to implement infrastructure automation using CI / CD for faster deployments.
• Collaborate with the Security team to ensure secure connectivity across our cloud footprint.
• Collaborate with the Service Desk and Tech Support teams to ensure support functions operate effectively.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning for network infrastructure.
• Document network designs, configurations and operational procedures.
• Create visibility of network performance through our observability platform to proactively detect and resolve issues.
• Stay current with cloud networking trends and make recommendations on improvements to tooling and processes.
