We’re seeking a fulltime, Invercargill-based General Manager to lead both the Southland Cricket Association and Invercargill Hockey (the regional sports organisation for Southland hockey).

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of two of our region’s most loved sports while building strong community connections.

Role and Responsibilities

About the Role : As General Manager, you’ll oversee the strategic, operational, and financial activities of both organisations. You’ll lead a passionate team of staff and volunteers, work alongside dedicated boards, and strengthen relationships with clubs, schools, councils, sponsors, and national bodies.

The successful applicant will be :

• A proven leader with strategic and operational management experience.
• Financially literate, with strong organisational skills.
• Have a passion for sport, community engagement, and creating positive experiences.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in fundraising or sponsorship (advantageous).

This role offers the chance to make a real impact on the health and wellbeing of Southlanders by growing participation and strengthening pathways in cricket and hockey.
