OverviewBusiness Development Advisor (PNG 42005) — partnership assignment between Volunteer Service Abroad (VSA) and the University of Natural Resources and Environment (UNRE), Papua New Guinea.

The volunteer will support UNRE to strengthen its capacity and capability to broaden revenue generation through the establishment and operation of a university business arm, enabling financial sustainability and supporting UNRE's mission and strategic goals.ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing and implementing business plans and feasibility studies for the university's revenue-generating activities.Provide guidance on business development strategies and techniques to expand external funding and partnerships.Support governance, project management, and collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the university's business initiatives.Contribute to capacity building within UNRE to sustain revenue generation efforts beyond the assignment period.QualificationsA qualification or degree in Business, Commerce, or related field.Experience in business development, preferably in the academic or research sector.Strong knowledge of business development strategies and techniques.Experience in developing and implementing business plans and feasibility studies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work well independently and in a team.Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.DesirableExperience working in developing countries.How to applyApply for this opportunity through the VSA website.
