About the role

We’re looking for Sampling Technicians to collect and / or field test water samples from a variety of sources. These include drinking water samples (for compliance with the New Zealand Drinking Water Standards), environmental samples (for consent and compliance monitoring), and wastewater samples (to meet compliance requirements and verify control processes are functioning correctly). You’ll be responsible for ensuring all samples are collected, field tested, and delivered to the laboratory in line with compliance, regulatory, and client standards.

About you

• Excellent customer relationship skills
• Full, clean NZ class 1 driving licence
• Highly organised with accurate and efficient work practices
• Computer literate
• Confident / competent swimmer
• A tertiary qualification or equivalent (science interest / aptitude)
• Experience with field work would be advantageous
• Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems such as LabWare7
• Experience with Laboratory Quality Assurance and Quality Control programmes
