About the Role :
Our client is seeking a Sales & Business Development Manager to drive growth across wholesale timber and remanufactured timber products. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this is a balanced role combining business development and account management : you’ll be opening new doors while nurturing existing relationships to ensure preferred supplier status.
You’ll spend most of your time in the field; meeting customers face-to-face, uncovering opportunities, and promoting the product range.
The role sits with a progressive, family-owned timber processing business based in Hawke’s Bay. Locally operated and well-established, they are recognised for quality, reliability, and innovation in timber and remanufactured timber products.

About You :
We’re looking for someone conscientious, self-motivated, and innovative, an individual with excellent relationship-building skills and a strong appetite for achieving sales targets while actively seeking out new opportunities. Experience in the timber or packaging industries is an advantage, though not essential.
This role involves significant domestic travel, so flexibility and adaptability are essential to meet business needs.
