From the start of

  • , ownership will transfer from Te Pukenga to Construction Skills New Zealand Incorporated, marking a pivotal moment for vocational education in the building and construction sector.

With a proud history, substantial revenues and a diverse learner base of around 10,000 learners, BCITO has a critical role in shaping the workforce of tomorrow.

About the Role

As Chief Executive, you'll lead BCITO through this transition and beyond, setting a bold vision, driving transformation and positioning the organisation for success in a dynamic and evolving vocational market.

You'll ensure training remains industry-led and future-focused, creating systems that meet the needs of employers and learners alike.

You'll inspire confidence and excitement in staff, industry and stakeholders, ensuring BCITO remains the trusted leader in construction training.

You will :

Deliver on a compelling strategy for growth and innovation.Build BCITO's brand and profile nationally.Engage and influence government, agencies and industry leaders.Ensure financial sustainability and operational excellence.Champion future-ready training systems and equity, access and learner success for all learners including Maori, Pasifika, disabled and underserved communities.

About You

You're a proven CEO or senior executive with :

Strong commercial acumen and strategic foresight.Experience leading transformation in complex environments.Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.Ability to energise teams and build high-performing cultures.Credibility within industry and confidence navigating government relationships.
