About the Role
Are you a Registered Nurse or suitably qualified health professional with experience in Cardiology, Cardiac Cath lab, and / or Clinical Research? This exciting position involves coordinating and conducting clinical research on potentially beneficial new treatments with the help of patient volunteers. Key responsibilities include screening patients for eligibility, approaching suitable patients / participants, providing information to both potential participants and medical and nursing staff about trials, ensuring participants' well-being, performing trial-required procedures, collecting and documenting data, and maintaining regulatory files.
Nurse Coordinators in Clinical Research work autonomously to coordinate research studies they have responsibility for. Modern day treatments used in Cardiology are a direct result of Clinical studies. About the Team / Service
Our team consisting of six dedicated Nurses and one Accounting / Administrative staff member, works closely together and collaboratively with Cardiology Medical, Nursing, Allied Health staff and external Study personnel. We are based at 14 Horne Street, conveniently located just a 5 minute walk to Waikato Hospital. We are a dedicated team motivated by our shared desire to contribute to advancements of medical knowledge and improved patient care and outcomes.
