The Role

As a Consultant / Senior Specialist in Orthopaedics, you will :

Deliver specialist clinical care across elective and trauma orthopaedic services
Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to registrars and junior doctors
Contribute to teaching, research, and service development within a supportive environment
Participate in the on‑call roster and multidisciplinary case reviews

Orthopaedic Department Snapshot

~2,300 surgical procedures per year (approx. 65% emergency)

80+ weekly fracture clinic attendances

50+ new outpatient presentations weekly

Collaborative environment with strong registrar and junior doctor support

About You

Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS Orthopaedics) or recognised overseas equivalent

Eligible for AHPRA Specialist Registration

Demonstrated expertise in trauma and elective orthopaedic surgery
