O&G Advanced Trainee Registrar (Fixed-Term, Part-Time)

About the role

We invite you to join us in a part-time (up to 0.5 FTE,

• hours per week) Advanced Trainee RMO Role within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern.

This role will be in partnership with an academic O&G role with University of Otago.

The primary objective of the Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern role is the provision of comprehensive experience and training in abortion care.

Out of hours duties will provide experience in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

The academic role offers opportunities to fulfil the RANZCOG academic ATM and your personal RANZCOG research requirements.

We recognise the importance of evidence-based practise, and the role research plays in advancing the field of obstetrics and gynaecology.

By engaging in research and academic pursuits, you will contribute to the growth of knowledge in this vital area of healthcare.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be an advanced Trainee Registrar with RANZCOG and have registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at MCNZ.

It is requirement of the Medical Council of New Zealand that your qualifications are approved through EPIC.

If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand, it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion.
