Sonographer

Mercury Bay Community Radiology and Health Trust – Thames, North Island

We are seeking an experienced Sonographer to join our committed team at Mercury Bay Radiology in Whitianga, Waikato. This is a part‑time position that will see you play a key role in providing high‑quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

What you'll be doing

Performing a range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and musculoskeletal scans

Providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a positive experience for all patients

Accurately documenting all procedures and maintaining detailed patient records

Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care

Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in sonography and continuously improving your skills

What we're looking for

Formal qualification as a Sonographer, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role

Expertise in a wide range of ultrasound procedures, with a strong understanding of medical imaging and anatomy

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to put patients at ease

Commitment to providing high‑quality, patient‑centered care

Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently on a stand‑alone basis

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
