Overview

We’re looking for experienced Maintenance Fitter Turner to join a busy team and fun team.

This role involves carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance on plant and equipment, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship.

Location : Otahuhu, Auckland

Start date : Immediate start available

Pay rate : $35–40 per hour (paid weekly)

Responsibilities

  • Performing maintenance and repairs on plant and equipment
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance and inspections on machinery
  • Diagnosing faults and implementing corrective actions
  • Managing spare parts inventory and coordinating contractors
  • Recording job data, completing task sheets, and logging work orders
  • Assisting with job planning and scheduling
  • Promoting safe work practices and maintaining a tidy workshop

Qualifications

  • Must have a Fitter Turner Certificartion
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter Turner or similar role
  • Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts or Monday–Saturday roster as required
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Commitment to safe work practices and PPE compliance (safety boots, hi-vis, hard hat, ear protection, safety glasses, gloves, dust mask, long sleeves / pants)
  • Eligibility to work full-time in New Zealand

  • This is a shift-based role with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Shift patterns may include rotating 12-hour shifts (4 days on / 4 days off) or 2 days / 2 nights, with advance notice given.
