Overview
Are you a seasoned Cloud Network Engineer looking to make an impact in a rapidly evolving, AI-first global tech company?
Straker, a leader in AI-powered language solutions, is on the lookout for a Cloud Network Engineer who's curious, proactive, and ready to get hands-on with our cloud infrastructure.
From managing N8N and other services, to keeping our infrastructure secure, resilient, and optimised.
You'll also be hands-on with licensing, automation, user access, and disaster recovery, while collaborating with multiple teams across the business.
Responsibilities
Cloud Services Management
: Administer our various cloud platforms, in particular N8N and related requirements
Licensing Management
: Manage the inventory of IT licences and various internal and cloud-hosted services
User Access Control / Onboarding
: Manage and administer identity management solutions (e.g., Azure AD, Google Workspace Identity) and user access across cloud services and key SaaS applications
IT Project Contribution
: Actively contribute to IT infrastructure projects, particularly those related to cloud adoption and Straker platform migrations, and optimisation
Automation
: Assist in developing and maintaining automation scripts (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
Vendor Management
: Manage and administer IT device assets and procurement portfolio globally and in particular, within NZ
Backup & Disaster Recovery
: Manage and monitor backup and disaster recovery systems; test and plan BCP implementation in line with our compliance requirements
Team Collaboration
: Collaborate with existing Cloud System Administration Team; collaborate with Security team and contribute to compliance requirements and delivery; collaborate with DevOps team for provisioning, deployment, and maintenance of required systems and testbeds; work with Leadership and Finance on Business Intelligence reporting for cloud services, licensing, assets, and other IT spend areas
Targeted Skills and Experience
Some proven experience in cloud platforms / understanding of IT systems and deployment
A basic understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity management concepts
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) or an eagerness to learn Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform)
A logical approach to problem-solving and a proactive attitude
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
