Cadet Project Engineer

Brightwater Engineering Ltd is a leading New Zealand engineering, fabrication, industrial service, and maintenance company operating primarily in New Zealand. Due to a range of fresh opportunities, we are currently looking to employ a Cadet Project Engineer to assist in our project delivery.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Project Management team as a Cadet Project Engineer. This position will support Project and Construction Management in health and safety, planning, procurement, engineering, fabrication, construction, quality and personnel supervision across a range of engineering projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• Background or interest in engineering.
• Enthusiasm and ability to learn and develop skills in planning and executing engineering projects from a contractor perspective.
• Interest in working toward an industry recognised project management qualification.
• Effective planning, problem solving and time management skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes : Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with an ability to form strong relationships with all key personnel, both internal and external.
• Strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively in a professional engineering team.
• Ability to commit and work to deadlines.
