The Centre is located in the heart of the Kensington medical precinct and contains consulting rooms, and a day stay operating theatre.

Mo te Turanga | About the Role As our General Manager, you'll be the driving force that brings the mission and vision of Southern Cross Northland Surgical Centre to life.

You'll lead a high-performing team and ensure our surgical centre continues to stand out as a trusted, high-quality surgical provider in the local market.

Working closely with Southern Cross Healthcare, you'll be supported by a healthcare network which puts our people, patients, and specialists experience at the heart of what we do every day.

In this pivotal role, you'll oversee the seamless delivery of safe, high-quality care, champion continuous improvement, and ensure we remain fully compliant with sector standards.

You'll inspire and develop a talented team, foster a positive and collaborative culture, and build strong relationships with specialists and stakeholders.

From operational performance and financial leadership to risk management and service improvement, you'll ensure the hospital runs at its best—efficient, patient-centred, and future-focused.

You'll also play a key role in shaping the future of the centre, driving business growth, identifying new opportunities, and leading strategic planning that positions the hospital for long-term success.

With oversight of facilities, customer experience, and community reputation, this is a role where your leadership will have real impact—every day, on every person who walks through our doors.

This is a full-time 6-month fixed term position to ensure stable leadership and continuity during a period of organisational transition.
