Overview

This role is ideal for a creative composer with a passion for blending genres and crafting original music for vocalists. The project involves composing a classical pop song tailored for a classically trained vocalist, merging Western classical vocals with a mainstream, accessible sound. The inspiration draws from artists such as Adele, Neeti Mohan, Andrea Bocelli, and Celine Dion.

Responsibilities

  • Compose an original classical pop song tailored for a classically trained vocalist
  • Integrate Western classical vocal techniques with contemporary pop elements
  • Develop a melody and arrangement that balances accessibility with artistic uniqueness
  • Collaborate with the vocalist to refine the composition and ensure it aligns with her style and vision
  • Provide sheet music and a demo recording of the final composition
  • Incorporate feedback and make revisions as needed to achieve the desired outcome

Requirements

  • Proven experience composing for vocalists, preferably with a background in classical and pop genres
  • Strong understanding of Western classical music theory and contemporary pop songwriting
  • Ability to create melodies and arrangements that showcase vocal range and technique
