L1 NOC Engineer

Ko tā mātou mahi - About the role

The NOC Engineer is primarily responsible for monitoring the network, liaising directly with customers, and resolving technical issues as they arise. This role is not only about troubleshooting network equipment!

The NOC Engineer team operates in a 24 / 7 roster to provide continuous cover for monitoring the network.

Ko tō mahi – What you will do

• Answering support calls and emails from our customers pertaining to all sorts of network related issues as well as some other fun stuff such as monitoring our Freeview Channels
• Monitoring network performance, actioning alerts and escalating issues when necessary
• Performing incident management (technical or management escalations)
• Troubleshooting - diagnosing faults by logging in to switches, consulting logs, doing ping tests, traceroutes, etc)
• Maintaining documentation, including knowledge base articles and procedural guides

You will have a passion for all things tech, customer service and for learning and development. You will have at least 1 years’ experience in a L1 NOC Engineer role or similar service desk position.
