Sales Agronomist

Business Unit : Oceania.

Location : Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand.

PGG Wrightson Seeds is part of the global DLF Group, a Denmark-headquartered leader in seed innovation.

We support both New Zealand and international markets, spanning every stage of the seed industry from research and development through to supply and on-farm support.

About The Role

PGG Wrightson Seeds are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Sales Agronomist to join our team.

This is a highly valued territory, backed by an exciting pipeline of innovative products and a strong suite of proven performers.

You'll be supported by a collaborative, inclusive team and have the chance to make a real difference to farmers and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

Build trusted relationships with retailers, farmers, and key industry stakeholders.

Promote and support our forage product range, including grasses, legumes, herbs, clovers, and brassicas.

Provide on-farm agronomic support and coordinate local product demonstrations.

Develop and deliver a territory business plan to achieve agreed goals.

Position products to best fit farm systems while exploring new opportunities for growth.

Work with technical agronomists to increase awareness of our proprietary products.

Qualifications (Skills & Experience)

A degree in Agronomy or a related field (advantageous but not essential).

Experience in sales of forage or agricultural products.

Knowledge of New Zealand farm systems and farming practices.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and listening skills.

Ability to work independently across a large territory, using technology to enhance sales and service.

An understanding of the Otago region and its farming landscape.
