This marks an exciting new chapter in caring for Tararua's beautiful parks and reserves and we’re on the lookout for passionate people to help us bring this vision to life.

About The Role

As a Mower Operator, you’ll play a key role in keeping Tararua’s parks, reserves, and high-profile spaces looking their best. Your daily work will involve :

  • Operating ride-on mowers to maintain sports fields and green spaces
  • Weed eating, edging, and push mowing for those finer finishing touches
  • Performing basic maintenance to keep equipment in top condition
  • Meeting client expectations with a high standard of presentation and care

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience operating ride-on mowers and small plant equipment (ie : weed eaters, trimmers etc)
  • A full, current driver’s licence (manual required; Class 2 advantageous)
  • Good level of physical fitness – this role doesn't just require you to sit on your mower but also to operate the small plant equipment too!
  • Comfort using technology would also be beneficial
  • A strong commitment to health and safety, and a positive, can-do attitude
  • A willingness to learn, grow, and be a valuable part of the team!
