Our tamariki need a passionate kaiako with the ability to form strong, meaningful relationships with tamariki and whānau. You will be able to inspire tamariki to learn and use effective strategies to positively engage each tamaiti. This structured literacy intervention position will support tamariki from across the school through withdrawal and in‑class support both individual and in small groups to progress their literacy learning.

Our team have completed professional learning through Learning Matters and use the IDEAL platform. Experience teaching structured literacy, especially IDEAL will be an advantage. Ideally the 0.6 will be structured 9 : 30 – 1 pm Monday to Friday, but there is some flexibility.

Please note this is a fixed‑term position due to MOE funding of twelve months for this intervention.
