Are you an experienced and safety-conscious Excavator Operator looking to join a trusted and growing eathmoving and retaining specialist company?

Shaw Contracting Services Limited is seeking skilled operators to join our team delivering high-quality earthworks and construction projects across the Auckland region.

About the Role

You will be responsible for operating excavators of various sizes on residential, commercial, and civil sites.

The work includes bulk earthworks, trenching, drainage, backfilling, site preparation, and finishing.

The ideal candidate will be confident in operating independently and capable of working as part of a team on fast-paced projects.

Key Responsibilities

Operate excavators safely and efficiently on a variety of worksites

Carry out site excavation, trenching, and backfilling to specification

Perform daily machinery checks and basic maintenance

Work closely with site supervisors to meet project deadlines

Maintain high safety standards and follow company procedures

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil construction or earthworks

Wheels, Tracks, and Rollers (WTR) licence

Class 2 driver's licence

Proven ability to operate various machines confidently and independently

Strong commitment to site safety, teamwork, and reliability

Physically fit and reliable with a strong work ethic

Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
