Job Description Metro Services is looking to hire Electrical Maintenance Technicians for a Manufacturing company near Wellington, OH. These are temp / contract positions. Apply Now!
Responsibilities
- Performs self-directed reactive and planned maintenance including observing devices in operation to locate root causes, dismantling devices to access and remove defective parts, examining parts for imperfections, adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments, repairing and replacing defective parts, testing devices to observe performance, testing electrical and hydraulic circuitry and mechanical systems, and ordering supplies and repair items as necessary
- Acts as a proactive project manager and works closely with the maintenance manager
- Analyzes and recommends engineered solutions to failures
- Lays out, wires, builds, and troubleshoots electrical panels and other machinery to NFPA / NEC standards
- Provides leadership and assistance to lower-level technicians
- Actively supports safety program through participation in safety team meetings, investigating safety incidents, conducting safety audits, and implementing corrective actions by following safety procedures and 5S standards
Compensation and Schedule
Compensation (USD) : $28.00 - $33.00 / hour based on experienceSchedule : 1st Shift, Monday - Thursday, 5 : 30 a.m. - 3 : 30 p.m.Qualifications and Skills
Able to interpret programmable logic controllers; I / O diagnostics, programming of safety interlocks and ancillary equipment interlocks, backing up and restoring programs, edit and documentation follow-upKnowledge of Ube and Buhler Prince Die Cast machines, hydraulic systems, and servo shot controlsKnowledge of holding furnace functions and operationsKnowledge of hot oil heating unitsKnowledge of Rimrock sprayers / ladles mechanical functions and controlsKnowledge of Fanuc and ABB robot programs, manipulation, maintenance, and troubleshootingKnowledge of overhead cranes and process water systems operationsKnowledge of plant air systemsPerforms welding, rigging, and moving of equipmentAble to operate a forklift and articulating boomAbility to analyze and solve problems; use advanced diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical failuresRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsRequirements
High School Diploma or GEDFive years experience in maintenance, or Associate degree and three years experience in maintenance, five years experience in machine repair environment, or Journeyman card in maintenance fieldComputer literate, knowledge of CMMS use; Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and OutlookForklift CertificationLift / Boom CertificationKnowledge of TS-16949 quality systemsWhy Apply
