The Beautification Trust is seeking a CRC & Reuse Store Team Lead to guide the day-to-day operations of our Community Recycling Centre (CRC) and Reuse Store team.
These services are committed to providing locals with meaningful ways to reduce their waste and access to affordable second-hand goods.The Beautification Trust is a social enterprise on a mission to connect and empower communities to learn, love and look after our environment.
Since 2001, we've been leading beautification mahi, community projects and environmental education programmes all over South and East Auckland.
Join us and make a real impact on this mission.Your roleWe're looking for someone who is practical, people-focused and ready to roll up their sleeves.
You'll be responsible for the daily running of the CRC and Reuse Store while the shop is open, including : Coordinating CRC and Reuse Store operations during opening hours.Leading and supporting staff and volunteers on the shop floor.
Encouraging a positive, respectful and supportive team culture.Delivering excellent retail customer service, including processing transactions and receiving payments.Setting up displays and merchandising to maximise sales in the store.Engaging with customers on what is / isn't accepted and offering solutions in line with CRC policies and checking quality of goods received and processed.Liaising with the Zero Waste Manager about recycling volumes, transportation needs and any operational issues.Assisting the Zero Waste Manager with recycling partnerships, new waste reduction opportunities and CRC events / initiatives.Using initiative to resolve day-to-day challenges and keeping things running smoothly.About youAs a valued member of our team, you will have the following skills, experience, and attributes : Experience leading a team, ideally in retail, customer service or waste / resource recovery.Understanding of retail operations (stock control, merchandising, customer service).
