Overview

Mangawhai Hills College is a new independent college in Northland, offering an International curriculum for Y7 to Y13. Our students enjoy specialist teaching, small class sizes, and a learning environment where every child is known.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, capable science teacher to join our team. You will be a secondary-trained and certificated science teacher, with an interest in sustainability, and the environment, and willing to teach across Y7–13.

You’ll be working in a school built on strong values, with a clear vision and a fresh approach to education in a welcoming community. Our students are thriving academically, socially, and personally, supported by an approach that provides strong leadership, collegial staff, and a culture where students are eager to engage. This is an opportunity to be a foundation teacher and grow with a new school.

What you’ll bring

• A teaching degree with current NZ Teaching Council registration
• Legal right to work in New Zealand
• Experience teaching Science up to Year 13 (IGCSE experience is an advantage but not required )
• An interest in sustainability, and environmental education
• A passion for inspiring students and contributing to our vision for future-focused learning
