Accommodation Manager – EF Auckland Campus, Auckland, New Zealand
EF Language Abroad is looking for an enthusiastic Accommodation Manager to lead a dynamic department overseeing both host family and residential accommodations.
This role plays a key part in ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our international students while continuously improving accommodation standards and overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Student Allocation : Arrange accommodation at least 12 weeks in advance, allocate students by age, gender and nationality, and manage new bookings and changes.
Host Family Recruitment : Recruit and visit host families in line with EF policies, maintain records, train hosts on EF standards and implement recruitment strategies via social media, advertising and events.
Host Family Management : Act as the main contact for host families, match students effectively, conduct regular visits and maintain accurate records.
Residence Management : Oversee residence bookings and room requests, communicate with residence staff and collaborate with the Residence Advisor to foster a strong student community.
Student Support : Handle accommodation queries, ensure student wellbeing, liaise between students, hosts and EF offices, resolve issues, manage crises and act on feedback.
Cross-Team Collaboration : Coordinate with EF sales offices, school staff and Finance on logistics, welfare, discipline and timely provider payments.
On-Call Duties : Share responsibility for emergency phone coverage to ensure round-the-clock student support.
Qualifications
Full fluency in English (reading, writing and speaking).
Additional languages are a plus.
Strong communication skills with students, colleagues and external partners.
Mature, caring and appreciative of cultural differences.
Organised and solution-oriented with strong attention to detail.
Ability to handle difficult situations with ease and remain calm under pressure.
Thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Target-driven and motivated by working towards goals and deadlines.
Experience living, working or studying abroad is a plus.
Must have full working rights in New Zealand.
