We are looking for a driven Cluster Business Development Manager – Groups & Events to grow business and leisure group revenue across some of Auckland’s top hotels, including Sofitel Viaduct Harbour, Pullman Auckland, Movenpick, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Win new business across meetings & events, incentives, tour series, sports, and ad-hoc groups
  • Drive proactive sales activity through database calling, sales calls, and cold calling
  • Contribute to delivering and exceeding accommodation and catering revenue targets
  • Build strong relationships with PCOs, inbound agents, and event bookers
  • Represent our hotels at industry events and hotel famils
  • Collaborate with hotel teams to ensure seamless client experiences

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hotel sales experience in groups / events or business development
  • Knowledge of the Auckland events and leisure market
  • Proven ability to grow accounts and close deals
  • Confident communicator with excellent phone manner and resilience in proactive calling
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and hotel systems (Delphi, Opera, CRM)
  • Energetic, motivated, positive and results-driven mindset
  • Must have rights to work in New Zealand
