Responsibilities

• Manage Protection and Control engineering teams in delivering complex projects from concept to detailed design through to supporting construction.
• Manage the detailed design, design review and implementation of protection and control schemes for Transmission and Distribution applications in New Zealand (up to 500 kV).
• Develop protection setting calculations for various protection relay configurations and schemes.
• Conduct power system modelling and simulation using industry standard software.
• Perform relay coordination studies and short circuit analyses.
• Utilise knowledge and experience of secondary systems circuitry design and high voltage power system protection schemes and principles.

Work arrangements

We offer flexible working arrangements with options to base yourself in Auckland, Christchurch, or Wellington, New Zealand, and to choose between full-time or part-time employment as appropriate.
