Quality Officer - UHT

A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for our Quality team as a Quality and Compliance Officer for our UHT Department.

A bit about the role :

The role of Quality and Compliance Officer is vital in supporting the Oceania Dairy business through ensuring legislative requirements are met for both product and organisation. The role is critical to balance and manage product traceability systems, product release, non-conformance investigations and implementation of corrective actions, complaints, and internal auditing. The oversight this team holds throughout the entire company ensures each function can operate to the highest ability, maintaining success and reputation

A bit about you :

The successful candidate will have a high level of computer literacy, strong problem-solving skills, and a curious mindset to put their best foot forward every day. Our culturally diverse environment is asset of our organisation, therefore the ability to work progressively and communication effectively in a team environment is essential.

We are seeking a candidate with a tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline, along with at least two years of experience in a Quality and Compliance Officer role or similar auditing position. A strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as HACCP, FSANZ, or ISO standards is advantageous. The ideal candidate will have experience managing quality systems, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance, with strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Oceania Dairy (ODL) is a dairy manufacturing plant located in Glenavy, South Canterbury, with a diverse workforce of 400 staff, who specialise in the creation of Milk Powder (adult and infant formula) and UHT milk.
