Auckland, NZ Account Executive at Toast

Join our mission to empower the global restaurant community : we’re expanding into New Zealand and need an Account Executive in Auckland to build the Toast brand and bring technology solutions to local restaurants.

Field sales opportunity. Candidates must live locally in Auckland, NZ or be willing to relocate. You will prospect, build relationships, and sign up new restaurateurs using a consultative approach.

Responsibilities

Generate list of prospective restaurants and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting, initial call to close (experience with self-sourcing clients is a huge plus).
Conduct demos and develop a solution that best meets the prospect’s needs.
Partner with teams across the business to ensure that expectations set during the sales process are met in delivery.
Leverage Salesforce to manage all sales activities.
Understand the competitive landscape and determine how to best position Toast in the market.

Requirements

2+ years experience in sourcing or closing sales, restaurant operations, or a relatable field.

Founder mentality to work on 0‑1 deals, navigate ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and thrive in a fast‑paced new environment.

Reliable transportation (we will reimburse mileage) as this is a field position.

Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills with the ability to sell and negotiate at all decision‑making levels.

Proven track record of success meeting and exceeding goals.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial team environment.

Self‑motivated, creative, and flexible.

General technical proficiency with software.
