Job descriptionBE (Civil / Structural) or equivalent degree 3–4 years of experience in a local consulting firm Strong technical knowledge of steel, reinforced concrete, and timber design Proficiency with design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SPACEGASS, or similar Sound understanding of NZ Building Code and relevant standards Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients Mentorship from senior engineers to support career growth Opportunities for increased responsibility in design, project delivery, and client liaison Pathway toward chartership with training and support Positive, collaborative work environment that recognises contribution
Archway Recruitment is partnering with a forward‑thinking engineering consultancy based in South Auckland to hire a Structural Engineer with 3–4 years of local consulting experience.
This role offers the chance to work across a diverse portfolio of projects within the Auckland region, including residential, commercial, industrial, and community developments.
Responsibilities
- Design and delivery of medium‑to‑large scale residential developments
- Design of commercial and industrial buildings
- Participation in seismic assessment and strengthening projects
- Structural design for refurbishments and new builds
- Contribution to community and public sector development projects
