About the RoleRight now, we are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist tojoin the Allied Health team at Timaru hospital.This team includes OccupationalTherapy, Dietetics, Orthotics Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Radiology, Speech andLanguage Therapy, Social Work, Orthotics, Clinical Psychology andAudiology.
About the ServiceThis role is supported by the clinical leader for Occupational Therapyand works with a supportive multi-disciplinary team to provide OccupationalTherapy assessments and a variety of interventions in order to promote patientindependence.This is a generalist role that works across the service.The ideal candidatewill have :
A Bachelor of Health ScienceA Current Practising CertificateExcellent Interpersonal / Communication Skills (including assertiveness, diplomacy, and sensitivity)Enable NZ Assessor AccreditationBoth newgraduates and experienced OTs are welcome to apply.About youThe person in thisrole will provide appropriate and evidence-basedassessment and interventions for adults and children in the inpatient medicalsetting, working across all wards.If you strive to achieve the maximum potentialfor your patients, then this role is for you.As a registered Occupational Therapist the ideal candidate will have;A current New Zealand Practicing CertificateBe able to plan and work autonomously.Be able to work as part of the Occupational Therapy team, and multidisciplinary setting of a ward environment.Working at HealthNew ZealandHealth New Zealand |Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people ofNew Zealand.We embrace a workforce that is diverse and inclusive so that weare better positioned to understand and service our community.
