ResponsibilitiesDrive the development and delivery of a strategic framework.

Use environmental scanning and indicators monitoring to identify wellbeing issues for the Council to address through its various roles and functions.Lead key strategy development and implementation, with focus on economic development, town centres and sustainability.Support the Councils participation in collaborative strategy and policy development processes at regional and sub-regional levels.Oversee the development and monitoring of Councils corporate planning documents, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and objectives.Provide senior relationship management advice and support for business sector interaction with the Council's regulatory functions and services.Provide high-quality advice across the Council to support the development of corporate policies, bylaws, and cost-effectiveness reviews to achieve community outcomes.Inspire and empower the team, act in accordance with the Councils values, maintain a solutions-focused attitude, and work with diverse partners often with conflicting interests.Requirements / QualificationsStrategic thinker with strong relationship management skills and a passion for positive change.Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders across a large and diverse organisation to deliver community-focused solutions to complex issues.Experience leading a strategically focused business unit in the public sector or equivalent environment.Authenticity, commitment to continuous improvement, and willingness to learn and share with the team and wider organisation colleagues.What we offerCompetitive remuneration package negotiated for the right candidate with relevant experience and attitude.Friendly, professional, and solutions-focused workplace culture.Application detailsPlease click here to view the Position Description.
