About The role :

The Vehicle Service Agent Team Leader is responsible for the overall supervision of the Vehicle Service Agents and drivers in the wash‑bay to provide clean and roadworthy vehicles on time for hire. Tasks include : rostering staff, managing and allocating work to staff, ensuring damaged or unroadworthy vehicles are identified by staff and reported, ensuring the vehicle fleet is properly inspected and training staff.

This is a full‑time and permanent position based in our Auckland City branch, with a minimum of 40 hours per week working Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.

Specific areas of responsibility :

Supervises, trains and manages performance of the team of VSAs (vehicle groomers) and drivers to help create and maintain good efficiency in the wash‑bay.

Assists the Branch Manager to create staff rosters for VSAs to match the needs of the business.

Manages the daily workload of VSA’s and distributes and allocates tasks to VSA’s.

Assisting the Manager with in‑fleet and defleet responsibilities of our company fleet.

Responsible for yard organisation within the branch.

Cleaning, grooming our fleet of vehicles and ensuring they are prepared for hire and sale.

Ensure team are reporting and capturing damages promptly and accurately.

Undertaking vehicle checks on presentation, cleanliness, body condition and basic standard mechanical checks.

Ensure damaged or unroadworthy vehicles are isolated and reported.

Ensure Health and Safety procedures are followed and relevant incidents are reported promptly.

Key skills we are looking for :

You will need a full or restricted Driver’s license or have the ability to lawfully drive in New Zealand.

Willingness to work Monday to Sunday.

At least two years of relevant work experience is required.

People management experience is desirable but not essential.
