You like running a tight ship, keeping customers happy, the pastries looking perfect, and the team moving calmly even when the queue is out the door. If that sounds like you, this could be your new favourite job – right here on the lakefront at The Boat Shed Bakery.
Your role? You’ll be the leader on the floor. With the support of our offsite Café Manager, you’re the one running the bakery day to day – setting the pace, supporting the team, and making sure every guest gets that great Boat Shed experience. From coffee service to cabinet presentation to team coaching, you’ll have your hands on everything that keeps the bakery humming.
You’ll lead the front‑of‑house team, making sure service is smooth, warm, and efficient. Cabinets will be stocked and styled, the coffee queue moving, and every customer – locals, runners fresh off the track, travelers and families – leaving happy and well‑fed.
You’ll handle the details that make service work :
Some days you’ll be making coffees, others working on rosters, stock orders, or coaching the team – but all of them put you right at the centre of Queenstown’s go‑to spot for coffee and pastry.
